The site has no gate, no ticket booth, and no formal opening hours; visitors arrive at any hour, though morning light between 08:30 and 10:00 illuminates the western cliffs and the turquoise shallows around the wreck before tour boats fill the bay. A low metal fence runs along the platform edge, and a small observation deck extends a few meters over the drop—vertigo is common, footing on loose gravel less so. Boat operators in Porto Vromi, a fishing inlet seven kilometers south by road, run daily trips to the cove between April and October, weather permitting. Vessels anchor thirty meters offshore; passengers photograph the wreck and the cliffs from the deck but do not land. A handful of tours departing Zakynthos Town and Agios Nikolaos include Navagio as one stop on a longer Ionian circuit, often paired with the Blue Caves and Xigia Beach. No boats dock at the beach itself—the hull of the Panagiotis and the rockfall zone remain off-limits, enforced by harbor police patrols during the summer season. Reaching Navagio Beach by land or by sea requires accepting that the famous stretch of sand is now a subject for observation rather than a destination for sunbathing. The viewpoint delivers the postcard perspective; the boat tours bring you within lens range of the hull.
